Make Up Artists I Looked At

It was important for me to find make up artists that work well with making black skin look good on camera. Some celebrities have spoken out about the fact that a lot of make up artists aren't familiar with doing make up on women of a darker complexion.

1. Moshoodat

New York City–based makeup artist Moshoodat is the epitome of an artist who showcases makeup as an art form. She began a campaign celebrating women of colour in bold, bright, and beautiful makeup looks to portray our magic. Her work illustrated the beauty of all skin tones.

2. Aj Crimson

Aj Crimson has always put women of colour first. He's crafted an inclusive line of quality makeup products (including a foundation that is the bomb) meant to match every single shade of brown. With celebrity clients like Naturi Naughton, he's made an indelible mark on the industry.

3. Sheika Daley

All those crazy cool looks worn by Nicki Minaj, Zendaya, La La Anthony, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland, Iman, Brandy, and Monica are done by none other than Sheika Daley. She can teach all brown girls a lesson on not being afraid of colour.
